Wow! I didn't expect to find some of the best Mexican food I've ever had tucked away in a random strip mall at the back of a grocery store. The atmosphere is casual and the decor is vibrant. The prices for the food are very reasonable, and everything we tried was packed with flavor and incredibly fresh. I ordered the fish tacos, which were delightful and served as the perfect base for their various delicious salsas. I absolutely loved the giant salsa bar—I'll definitely be back to sample everything they offer! My husband had a pollo special that was reminiscent of a chicken stew with a rich, thick orange cream, and he couldn't get enough of it. I'm confident that the rest of their extensive...

I recently visited El Primo after a few years away, and I was pleased to find the restaurant bustling on a Friday evening—always a good sign! I ordered the chipotle shrimp tacos, while my friends opted for various other dishes (although I forgot to snap a photo). My tacos were fantastic! They were packed with flavor and had a wonderful mix of textures and ingredients. The meal felt quite healthy, and it was substantial enough to last me for three meals, making it a great value! The authenticity of the food is truly commendable. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was lively. My friends also enjoyed their meals! Thank you for another wonderful dining experience, El...

The biggest downside for me was the use of paper plates and cheap plastic utensils. If the food had been extraordinary, I might have been able to overlook that detail, but even then, I can't stand eating with low-quality plastic cutlery. These utensils were particularly flimsy and couldn't even cut through the sope, which is a thick corn tortilla patty. Despite its popularity and my husband’s love for the place, the food was just average, and the disposable cutlery left a lot to be desired. On our next visit, I brought my own silverware, and while we’ll likely return, I think I’ll stick to tacos next time since they don’t require utensils and I have a feeling the tacos there would be tasty...

We decided to come here for dinner! What an experience! This place is serious fun. It's a restaurant behind a grocery store. You enter from the grocery store front, keep walking through all kinds of stuff, and then it leads to the restaurant part. Everything is delicious! My husband got a plate with steak, bacon and sausage. I played safe and got tacos--I got one sausage, two beef tongue (which is my all time favorite) and one beef head! The beef head is fried beef heat meat--it's slightly crispy and has tons of flavor. After dinner, we bought some soda and pastry! I can see myself come back very soon! Réservez une table maintenant

Authentic Mexican food requires a walk through the bodega store front to get to the gem hidden in the back. We didn't want pizza for a company lunch like usual. So we got a catering platter of tacos, beef, chicken and shrimp. Everyone in the office raved about the flavor and such a welcomed change from pizza. Definitely will be doing this again.

Mexican store in the front, mexican restaurant towards the back of the store. I ordered tacos and they were very authentic. The tacos were a great serving size, not too small. Their service was amazing! The waitresses were so kind and kept a smile. I arrived pretty late and they still gave me amazing service.

Very friendly service! Unlike many taquerias, they bring a basket of chips to your table. On this visit we were also offered a sampling of all of their fresh juices delicious! There is also a large salsa bar! It is not the fanciest atmosphere by any means, but it is comfortable.

Totally awesome place, very authentic. Food is exceptional. The ambience feels like you sit somewhere in Mexico you would never think from the outside that this little gem is hidden in there. I can highly recommend. Réservez une table maintenant

Ate here last night. Food was bomb! I got Sopes (1 adobo chicken, 1 carne asada) they were both delicious. Table got chicken nachos and said they were excellent. This place is definitely worth a visit.
