I think we found our new favorite Latiné spot here in the south of Brooklyn. All the food was amazing, delicious, GENEROUS portions, and SO SO SO FRESH. I ordered through UberEats and it was ready and at my door in 20 mins. The only thing that I didn’t love was the burrito, but it wasn’t their fault, it was fresh tasting, I just felt it needed a good salsa. Not pictured here was a horchata (creamy and sweet), a Steak and Pepper Torta (the hubby devoured it), and Tortilla Chips Guac (fresh af). Oh, the fries were thick and crispy too! Get the Spicy Mayo dip for them, you won’t regret it! 5 STARS!!!

MÉXICO ?? Dispatch from Gravesend, Brooklyn: Right outside the N train's Avenue U station a new torteria has replaced another Mexican joint, offering some interesting tortas, plenty of other Mexican antojitos, as well as burgers and western breakfasts. This namesake torta is built around a base of sauteed steak and peppers. It was tasty, but maybe ask for them to hold the American cheese, which is peculiarly too pronounced in each bite. Tortas here are served with a side of fries, so be ready to be asked if you need ketchup, an odd experience in a Mexican restaurant.
I've been a regular at this restaurant, but I've never received a receipt when picking up my food. Recently, I noticed an unfamiliar charge on my credit card. When I called to ask about it, the person I spoke with was quite rude and insisted that the charge was for using a credit card, not for taxes. He even told me to contact 311 if I had an issue. I'm not upset about the charge itself, but I'm disappointed that they wouldn’t provide any information about additional fees for takeout. Their customer service was extremely lacking, and I won't be coming back.
The food arrived quickly, but unfortunately, my steak was dry. I ordered the roasted pork platter, but instead of pernil, I received some chopped pork bites, which were also dry and lacked flavor. The beans tasted stale, and the rice had a boxed flavor. The guacamole was bland and needed salt. Overall, everything was just okay, and I don’t think it was worth the $20 price tag. I ordered two platters: one with shrimp and steak, which I would rate a 7 out of 10, and the other with the "roasted pork" and steak, which I would rate a 5 out of 10. Réservez une table maintenant
The recommendation: I usually reserve my reviews for multiple repeats but the cheese quesadilla was so good I just had to write about it. I would give it a 4.5 if possible. It's a homemade tortilla with stringy cheese, Oaxaca cheese. It's very hard to find homemade tortillas so I'll defintely be back to try more. The place: It's a small little place with a small assortment of little snacks, drinks and mexican desserts. There is a communal table and seating near the window available.
They make fresh corn tortillas. Wow so much better than those store bought ones. I had one tostada with lettuce, beans and avocado, it comes with cheese and sour cream but I don't eat that. I had a Tacos Dorado with grilled vegetable and a Tacos Vegano with guacamole, pineapple with pico de gallo, nopal cactus salad all with the homemade corn tortillas. They also sell the tortillas by the pound, half pound or any quantity you want.
Great local place for mexican food. Got a pastir torta and a chorizo burrito with a jarrito, came out to $27. Staff was friendly, food came out not too long after. The establishment is also quaint and cozy, with a selection of deserts. Very nice spot.
This is by far the best burrito I've ever had! Occasionally, the meat might be slightly overcooked, but it’s still incredibly tasty. I highly recommend it! Réservez une table maintenant
A good spot to get a burrito or quesadilla or bowl, but my favorite on the menu is the cilantro tacos. The food here is fresh and prices are reasonable.
