El Sustento - Réserver une table

We had just visited Plaza Colon and wandering around this part of town we chanced upon El Sustento and what a great little find. The interior is awesome, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe ,its a great place to unwind in. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Monday afternoon, cafe was very busy with a great atmosphere, we luckily managed to get a table were we ordered a flat white coffee each,after a short wait our coffee's arrived steaming hot,we just chilled out and took in the great cafe we were in. From the first sip you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and for a first time visit we were totally impressed with this cafe. El Sustento is easy to locate along Calle Monte Esquinza. A great cafe,well worth checking out if your in the area.

Every time I visit Madrid, and it is quite often because I have family living there, I go and eat at El Sustento. It has become a tradition. It is a small restaurant and better to visit during the week rather than the weekends because it will be very very crowded on weekends. The food is absolutely great and Pedro, the owner, who has become a good friend is always ready to serve with a great smile and lots of affection. I would strongly recommend it.

We came in for dinner and had freshly made beef burgers with Jack Daniels sauce but they started us off with a complimentary portion of manchego cheese and a ham broth. The burgers were delicious, cooked pink and served with tomato, salad and fries. I had a large one which was probably too much really but a bargain at Euro 10. This place is always busy with locals and I can thoroughly recommend it.

typical bar where you don't think you're going to have a good dinner and you're surprised with the quality of the food and the prices (lows) they have. the attention also spectacular by all those who work.We tried the foie salad, the Russian salad and the chicken fingers ... and everything was very good and the huge rations, we went out the ones we were rolling.

Perfect place, full of local businessmen. Great food and nice staff. Made it a regular feature of our business trip
