El Tarasco Mexican Food

I've been going to El Tarasco for years and their food has been consistently good. They even catered a couple parties for me. My favorite hands down is the carnitas, but I've tried several of their burritos and platters and all are delicious. I've tried the wet burrito twice and I'm sorry to say that I did not like it. The sauce is like a mole type sauce and while I like mole, I didn't enjoy this sauce. I felt like it just didn't go on a burrito. I've tried it on two separate occasions, just to see if I was tripping, but nope...I'm not. So if I get burritos from here, I'll just stick to a dry burrito. Now the burritos themselves are bomb! During a time of Stay at Home orders, this little place does so much to make your stay at home a pleasant one ! Still great service and attention to detail ! Very thoughtful and generous with everything. Some menu favorites: Shrimp Cocktail is so delicious and refreshing ! This place was seriously one of my favorites ever! I would go here all the time because their food was delicious and lightyears ahead of el burrito or anything else in the neighborhood. Well tonight I ordered over the phone for pickup. I ordered 2 shredded beef super deluxe burritos and 2 shredded beef tacos. By the time I got home and opened it up...I had 2 ground beef tacos and two burritos stuffed with ground beef, asada and shredded beef. It was absolutely horrible and I've never had a bad meal here in my life. If you don't have shredded beef say something over the phone... don't just give me a mixed bag of whatever you have on hand. Super disrespectful considering the whole meal was 35...

However, my order wasn’t ready when I arrived, so I picked up a takeout menu since it was my first time there. I quickly realized that the front of the menu said "El Tarasco Burrito," not just "El Tarasco" like I was used to. As I skimmed through the menu, it dawned on me that this was a completely different restaurant, as the other two locations listed were unfamiliar. To my dismay, the California Burrito wasn’t even on the menu—so what were they making for me? When I finally got the three California Burritos home—two chicken and one carne asada—my family and I were disappointed. This was my second visit, and once again, the delicious authentic cuisine did not disappoint. I ordered the Carnitas plate, which was served hot and came with rice, roasted beans topped with melted cheese—just the way I enjoy it. It also included pico de gallo, guacamole, tortillas, and serrano chili. My fiancée chose the Carne Asada plate, which was prepared in a similar style. Oh, and they served us tortilla chips with their homemade salsa, which was incredibly tasty. The service was excellent as well. We’ve definitely found our new spot for authentic Mexican food!

El Tarasco was a happy find for me. I've never noticed this restaurant. I was on my way home from work and I was looking for a Mexican restaurant to take out some. The reason I stopped was because I saw several other people waiting for their own orders. Your menu is very extensive. Service is fast. The prices are fair. I have the deluxe bean Burrito and a chicken salad for my wife. We were both very satisfied with how delicious our meals were. This is our place for Mexican food.

I celebrated my doctoral thesis last night at this wonderful restaurant, and I’m happy to say that we had an outstanding evening. The venue played a significant role in making our gathering so special. The staff was incredibly helpful, the food was delicious, and my friends were full of excitement. We will definitely be back for more joyful occasions. Thank you!

I had never visited this location before, but the food here is truly exceptional, just like the other two locations I've been to over the years. We ordered online, but we inadvertently forgot the tacos; it was entirely our mistake because we were eager to get home and enjoy the meal. Overall, great experience—thanks for everything! Great service. I forgot how great the Burritos are, and the salsa for the chips is really delicious. You could almost miss it on Western, but they really have a house style cooking. The place was also immaculate. I'll be back soon.

Wanted to enjoy this but the way they package their tacos to go, makes the tacos really soggy by the time you bring it home.
