I often order albondigas soup from El Torito, but my experience with yesterday's order was disappointing. The soup base was very weak, and there weren't enough vegetables or meatballs. I placed my order early, right after they opened. Additionally, the delivery person did not follow my instructions; they left the package on the porch floor, where it was visible from the street. I have clear instructions for all food deliveries to be left on the table, which is easy for delivery people to see and more secure against theft. Feeling unwell, I was relying on the soup—one for lunch and another for dinner. Unfortunately, the quality did not meet my expectations from my favorite Dasher restaurant.
I have to say that while I was quite disappointed with my order, the staff member was very kind. I ordered the tortilla soup for $9.75, but it was a very small portion. The bacon-wrapped jalapeños were just raw jalapeños and didn't resemble the picture at all. The entire platter looked nothing like what I expected, and everything was served cold. The fiesta platter included a huge nacho that took me by surprise and I ended up not eating it. To top it off, they didn't have the delicious tequila they advertised. On the positive side, the employee was amazing and took the time to explain everything to me. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.
I waited nearly an hour for my food! If the restaurant can't keep up with their timings, they need to adjust based on their workload. It's unfair to make drivers and customers wait. This is definitely not good for business. Additionally, the portion sizes are not worth the price. The albóndigas soup bowl was almost ten dollars, which would have been reasonable if it weren't just a kid's serving size.
Best Mexican food ever! I always get the SIZZLING SIRLOIN STEAK FAJITAS and absolutely love how all the flavors of the sides perfectly complement one another and elevate the already delicious sirloin steak. A wonderful celebration of a fantastic dish!
