I absolutely hate writing bad reviews but today the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced in a sit-down restaurant. We ordered right away and still waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food NOT to arrive. We didn’t get water refills, no acknowledgment whatsoever. The waiters were attending everyone else except our table. I felt like they were avoiding us on purpose. We were polite and quiet so it made no sense. We never got our food so we decided to walk out and took our money somewhere else. As a server myself, it baffles me that this happened. Go somewhere else where management actually cares about their staff customers.

My wife, father in law and I came here for a family lunch. We were a little concerned when we saw the steps at the entrance or long way around the building, as my father in law uses a walker. But, our concerns were quickly dissuaded! As soon as the staff saw us they opened a side door and ushered us in! Everyone was so accommodating and so helpful! The food was amazing, I usually don’t go for the beans and rice right away but I finished those before touching the main course!

I’ve always been a fan of El Torito Grill. We used to eat at the Beverly Hills and Irvine locations a lot back in the day. I’m really glad this location is still around because the food is amazing and service is on point. The tortillas and sweet butter are still as good as I remember! Definitely will be back again soon.

The restaurant has been here for over 3 decades, and the last time I was here was 2010. Glad that they survived thru COVID. It's cinco de mayo day, and they have a mariachi band at the entrance. Food is good, and the Cadillac tastes so delicious.
