I got the #10 combo that gave me much more food than I needed for lunch, but that made me taste the Enchiladas, Guisada and a puffy taco. Enchiladas were a small gland with thin chiligravy, but the Carne guisada and the Taco were pretty good. Red and green salsa in squeeze bottles (classical) and I'm not sure they make their own chips. Tortillas were definitely homemade. Small joint with maybe 9 tables, building looks like it was a Taco Bell in the 70s, or a hive shop in the 80s. Could use a paint, but overall clean. The service was fast and attentive. waitress checked back w/me and as needed tea refilled.
My family and I have been eating from this restaurant for years. This place is a hit and miss. In the past year the quality of the food has gone down. We have purchased carne guisada that is so salty you can't even eat. Egg and bacon that is to greasy and beans from a can. I have gotten to the point where I am done going back!! Just because a place is full of customers doesn't mean they have great food. Sometimes it's customer loyalty. This one you have to judge for yourself!!
My wife was charged $44.53 for are meal. The manager gave us are receipt. We were given are food went home and she gets a notification on her phone that she was charged $53.44. She called the manager and she played dumb. We were sent a message from the bank. The bank wouldn't lie. Becareful, I would pay cash if you do decide to eat at this place
El Toro is the best! Their food is always amazing, and they have always provided outstanding service. Very friendly, and fast.(Ive been going for 14 years)Pat Booker road has always had way too many Mexican restaurants coming and going. This one has lasted for a reason. Even without a drive through, they beat competition. That says a lot.
