classic situation, walking around a town you don't know, 3 hungry people. Found this place and decided to chance it. When we walked inside there was not one other person eating... should have run for the door, but we stayed. The place has zero atmosphere, no charm no nothing! It was like eating in a library. The waitress was stiff and cold not warm or friendly. It got worse, the food was horrendous. Cheap quality meat over cooked. This place reminds me of a family who have been running it for so many years and are just waiting to retire. No effort, no passion, and it showed in the plates of food and service. We were there less than 1 hour, didn't eat, just paid and ran!

The elephant is far from being the best restaurant in Germany but after a full day shopping and sightseeing in Konstanz, the elephant will warm your soul with some typical german food. very nice service. restaurant original furnishings. tja eating was not so our style. salat plate with chicken wings. all from the dose outside the green salate. a pity you could make a lot more from this well located locality. above all, the competition is huge with culinary excellent restaurants.
