Elena's provided food for 40 people for my daughter's bridal shower. They made good recommendations on quantity and serving for the outdoor event. The portions were very generous and the quality was fantastic. I ordered pasta salad, three sandwich platters, fruit salad, anti-pasta tray with marinated veggies and a separate tray of meats and cheese, and Tiramisu for dessert. I'm not a fan of most pasta salads but so many guests were wowed by it that I had to try it. Absolutely the best I have ever had. Everything was eaten. All was packaged and presented very well. Mario and his sisters are so very nice and helpful. I will definitely be back for more.
Just found this place. You will not be disappointed with the food, service nor prices. Mounds of food given, I ordered the meatball sandwich with provolone and an Italian sub (both pictured here). They taste as good as the look. I rarely give anyplace a 5 star but this place takes the cake. There is limited seating inside, just a couple tables and hard to find from Lake street, it's tucked away. True Italian deli! Update 11/2/17. Website and front door says they close at 5pm. At 4:30pm doors were locked no one around. Too bad, loss of one star.
I heard about this restaurant from a colleague at work and decided to try the Salvatore Sub with pasta salad. Everything was absolutely phenomenal—easily the best sub I've ever had. My only complaint is that there was a bit too little meat, which was somewhat overshadowed by how amazing the cheese, sauce, and spices were. However, even the meat itself was among the best I've ever tasted. They also gave me a complimentary lemon cookie, which was delicious. I will definitely be returning!
We decided to try something new today and discovered this gem, Elena's Cucina! My friend and I enjoyed their handmade sandwiches, and we also took some pizzas to go. The pizzas are incredible, and the sandwiches were absolutely delicious! We will definitely be coming back. Be sure to check out their menu and don’t miss the lemon cookies—I'm not usually a fan of lemon, but these completely changed my mind as they simply melt in your mouth!

I visited their booth at the 47th Annual Country Christmas Arts & Craft Show at Crystal Lake South High School in Crystal Lake, IL, today. The focaccia breads we bought from Elena's are incredible. Our friends also grabbed some cookies, biscotti, and Swedish Flop, and they loved them too. Although their booth was quite busy, the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be ordering from them again and again.
The sandwiches at Elena's Cucina are exceptional. I usually go for the BLT, and it’s always made with fresh ingredients. The bread is baked fresh daily, and the bacon is cooked just right. I’ve also sampled their soups, which I strongly recommend. Plus, the prices are very affordable. Overall, I end up spending less here than I would on the subway, yet enjoy far better quality food.
I tried a Mediterranean focaccia pizza from Elena's Cucina yesterday at the Elmhurst farmers market for the first time, and I was blown away by the quality and freshness! The crust was perfect, the seasoning spot on, and the toppings incredibly fresh and flavorful. The food was amazing, and Mario was incredibly friendly at their booth!
This was possibly the best Italian sandwich I’ve ever had. Small things like balsamic on the sub AND they salt the tomatoes before putting them on makes this a truly unique sandwich worthy of the trip. In a small business park but a great find. I will be back!
