Elia Taverna is one of the best Greek Restaurants in Bronxville. They have a wide variety of items on their menu. My favorite appetizer that they offer is the assorted cold dips and saganaki flambé !! I even enjoyed the chicken kebab with a glass of red Sangria, absolutely delicious… 10/10 recommend. The staff is very kind and they offer assistance whenever you need it. The moment I walked in I was seated and offered complimentary pita and olives! Plenty of people seemed to agree because the restaurant was booked! If you’re looking for a good spot to eat or even celebrate an occasion, Elia Taverna should be the one!! I will be a loyal customer to Elia Taverna after this lovely experience.
The haloumi was incredible, and the freshly made potato chips were fantastic as well. Unfortunately, the gyro was the blandest I've ever tasted. It seemed like the tzatziki sauce lacked spice, as I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to make it more flavorful. I'm likely to return to try something else since they have received great reviews; perhaps I just caught them on an off day. *Edit* I went back with my girlfriend, and we ordered the grilled octopus, chicken souvlaki, and I tried another gyro. This time everything was amazing! It seems my first visit really was just an off day because I loved all of it.
We've previously ordered takeout from this Greek restaurant and the food was so good we wanted to visit in person. And it did not disappoint. For appetizers, my fiance had the grilled octopus which is so delicious and I had the shrimp in tomato saucewith feta cheese-also really good. As entrees, we had the grilled fish and lamb kebob with lemon potatoes. Everything was reallyfresh, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. We tried both the white and red sangrias, which were refreshing and delicious. We'lldefinitely be back!
This is the 2nd time there, and I love it. Not really familiar with Greek food, but everything we tried was delicious. A small, very cozy, bright country type atmosphere. Great service. Definitely a new favorite place.

My Greek friend took me to Elia Taverna to celebrate my birthday. Everything was delicious. From fresh salad, lemon soup, the main dish, dessert and coffee. It was delightful experience.
This restaurant is a perfect representation of how wonderful Greek cuisine can uplift your spirit. My family and I have traveled to Greece, and this place truly impresses us.
Everything was delicious, From the Apps to the dessert. Cold dip sampler was my favorite the meat sampler more then enough for 2 people. Cant wait to go back.
The food is incredible. Order whatever you like and be sure to try the wine.
