I ordered the chopped pork sandwich, and the meat was incredibly moist and delicious. The BBQ sauce that accompanied it was also quite good. I also had the half rack of ribs, which were cooked perfectly; I personally prefer a wet rub on my ribs, so I missed that aspect, but the flavor was great nonetheless. The coleslaw and baked beans on the side were very tasty, and the sweet tea was delightful. Overall, a wonderful experience!
I've been visiting this restaurant since before I moved to Florida. It was my mom's favorite BBQ spot, and the staff here are fantastic with my son. I moved away for a while and hadn't been here in about a year, but after my mother passed away, I returned to the area and decided to come back. I was delighted to find that the food is still just as good as it always was.
I had the pulled pork platter, and both the pork and brisket were excellent. However, I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw. The staff were very friendly, but keep in mind that they only accept cash.
We drove up from South Sarasota and it was 100% worth the trip! We loved the food, rhe people and sittin' under the old oaks. A wonderful mini road trip was had! Réservez une table maintenant
Great food, reasonable price, wonderful people. Been going there for years and never had the beef. Had it today and it was fabulous...just like everything else!
I got a brisket sandwich meal with black eye pea salad and baked beans. This sandwich was the worst i have ever had. To was 50% fat. Yet it was incredibly dry.
The smell pulls you in and the food keeps us coming back. The folks are great and know their bbq
