This suburban restaurant was fine for a mid-week meal. Not too fancy but pleasant surroundings with varied menu. It was about half full mid-week on a wet and cold winter night. Parking out front and not too crowded inside. The temperature inside was on the cool side - not unpleasant but a light jacket was necessary. The prices were mid-range. I ate here on a Wednesday night. Was a great place to catch up with friends and able to chat in a relaxed environment. Not too noisy, background music is at a reasonable level and staff do there things without disturbing your conversation with friends. Staff are excellent and polite, great service! I am vegetarian and I did find the menu limiting for me. No vegetarian main dishes, you have to turn an entree into a main. I did share a couple of entrees with friends. Anyone who gives this place more than two stars obviously never visited the place in it's hey day. The times you used to walk in and the door was opened for you and you were greeted with a big hello and sometime even a hug! The lights were dim, tea lights lit, and the place had a real buzz. I am someone who started going here when it was brand new and was a very loyal customer - many birthdays, special events, and lots of fun times here. The chairs furniture and carpets all the same (quite worn and dated). I booked this venue for a baby shower lunch. We had 20 people attend. The venue allowed us to come early to set up some table arrangements and their communication with me in the lead up was fantastic. Everyone really enjoyed their lunch and spoke highly of the food. I was impressed that they let such a large group do Al La Carte (we just had to order ahead of the day so as to make service easier). There was a small mix up with one of the orders but they quickly fixed this and were really professional about it all. They really contributed to a wonderful day.
I personally had the beef cheeks and they were delicious! Would eat here again and recommend for a large group.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice restaurant in such a convenient location. The service and staff are very nice. We started with a fresh salad and flat bread with dips. For our mains I had the duck and my wife had the salmon. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The portions were generous and we just didn't have room for dessert but we did see some other guests enjoying very attractive deserts. The wine list was well rounded but not overwhelming. We will be back to try some of the other selections soon.
Cold Wet and Windy Winters day in Canberra was warmed by the great food and service received by us @ Ellacure Restaurant. Starters of wood fired pizza and 3 dips...delicious.Crumbed (with herbs) Fish and Chips generous serve and tasty not dry or greasy. Spaghetti was tasty and cooked to perfection. Ellacure has a good menu with affordable prices the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Highly Recommended
Had a chicken burger from this place and was very disappointed. The burger was greasy and full of cheese. They put way too much bacon on the burger. The sweet potato chips on the side were average. I'm not going to return to this place as this was one of the worst chicken burgers I have eaten.
Wonderful service and the best meals. I had the lamb ribs and hubby said his duck best he's had. Will definitely go back, but thus time on an empty tummy so I can pig out

Excellent food. Pan seared barramundi was delicious. Excellent service. Cannot fault anything. Reasonable price. Vibrant and romantic atmosphere.
Fantastic food with excellent service - good range of choices for dinner. Only minor comment is that it's slightly overpriced.
