Ellingtons just became a ‘go to’ when we go downtown for a concert at the Ryman. (3-4 blocks away) LOVE LOVE LOVE the 70’s retro coolness of the decor and the low key vibe. The music was relaxing playing at a level we could enjoy our conversation instead yelling across the table like sooooo many restaurants have now days. The lobster ravioli was yummy, the pork chop was a double yum yum. I have found with many restaurants who serve pork chops, tender and flavorful combined is a challenge. Not here! As you can see from the photo the chop was a nice thick cut, really enjoyed the bourbon rub on it too! The desert was light with a lavender and blueberry topping and the little blue lemonade drink...
we accidentally stopped at ellington for our jubilee dinner because the building looked pretty and made the menu sound good. I'm so glad we stopped here because everything was absolutely perfect. the hotel and restaurant are both beautiful and upscale. eating was amazing and that dessert was also really good. my man and I loved our meals. the service was excellent and our waiter christopher was really friendly and made great recommendations. I loved the whole mood of this restaurant and would come back 1000%. Ellington’s was a great choice to celebrate our jubilee!
From the first bite of the delicate crab cakes to the hedonistic dipping of fantastic fries in their oh so incredible creamed spinach! The risotto was the perfect pairing of creamy, flavorful and a precise cook. The shrimp cocktail had the most scrumptious shrimp I have had out side of New Orleans and Boston. Ellington's takes simple and executes it with an absolute understanding of paring excellent flavor profiles in order to create quite a unique experience, making it one of our favorite spots to keep it classy, to keep it sexy and to keep it delicious.
The service was superb; the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel truly valued. We wrapped up our evening with a drink at the bar, and the French martini was simply perfect! A special shoutout to Sam! The manager, Randy, was very welcoming and checked in on us several times to ensure we were completely satisfied. Our server, Scott, was fantastic and provided great recommendations as we made our meal choices. As locals, we can’t wait to return again and again!

We had a fantastic dinner! Our server, Myka, was just as sweet and friendly as everyone else who assisted us throughout the evening. She also had the most beautiful nails! We thoroughly enjoyed our drinks, meals, and dessert. It's a bit on the pricier side, but I believe it's absolutely worth it! The atmosphere is classic and sophisticated. We will definitely be returning!
Have always had such a great experience here! Service is some of the friendliest I have had, and the food is superb! Oysters speak for themselves, and the drinks are well crafted. I came for happy hour, and it's such a great deal! Come for the half off bottles on Wednesdays from 3 to 6. P.S. forgive some of the food photos as some appetizers were half eaten.
One of the best dining experiences I've had in Nashville. We received fantastic service from our server, Christopher (Cruz), and the chef, also named Christopher. The smoked chicken gnocchi and porchetta were two of the best dishes I've ever tasted. Highly recommend!
Waiter forgot my salad and when I mentioned it during the main meal he was not very apologetic. He asked did I want it or was I full. No other effort to make it right. Also, I was told they didn't have Sambuca. What upscale restaurant doesn't have Sambuca on the bar?

Possibly the best kept happy hour secret in Nashville, and a favorite of the state government power broker set. Great drinks, great appetizers, and even better service. The setting is also upscale and very appropriate for a business lunch/dinner or drinks.
Ricardo was amazing. Food was amazing. Definitely recommend!
