Firstly I must disclose that I am, or at least have been, a regular to this little lounge! It really is the little red (and purple) lounge that 'could be' - great location, great space, good pub food and exceptional female staff..Since becoming regulars staff have been great and we've enjoyed a game of pool, a few too many drinks and a good old yarn in the beer garden...Love the fact that there are a number of little nooks that tend to separate you from the pool tables etc if you're there as a couple or a small group - this includes a heated beer garden, chairs and table around the bar, the 'intended' dining area as well as a booth in front of a pot belly fire.. .my favourite area when eatin...
Went for a late Sunday lunch and it was a rather weird... I know the place is meant to be eclectic and chill but during the day it doesn't translate. It just feels bare and sleezy.The food was....unimpressive. I ordered the beef pie which comes with salad and chips. Firstly the chips was great. The salad was plentiful. The pie however was a stew in a bowl with a pastry lid....the sauce was tasty enough, but the meat wasn't slow cooked which meant the texture was hard and gritty. Did not like it at all. This location is a bit out of the tourist zone near the wonderful Elwood beach overlooking parks and golf course. The food is good, as is all Melbourne restaurant food compared to the USA for example, plus also due to the high quality competition and appeals to a wide range and age group.However its other claim to fame is the music afternoons especially on Sunday about 5pm or so. Check that out on the website.The crowd then turns to the late 40`s set grooving and enjoying a beer or two.W ander down to the beach to see the sunset away from the tourists.
Burnt chicken and the worst service I have ever received from a rude, cranky waitress who pushed and shoved past us to serve, sighed and harrumphed her way thru the evening, made faces, blamed us for getting orders wrong and demanded we pay again for a missed order. Stay away!

Elwood Lounge is a little hole in the wall type spot. Good meal specials and a laid back place to grab a few drinks with friends. The prices are great and I think the staff are very cool and friendly. Definitely a fav spot for Parma night!
Came here to celebrate a friends return to Australia and has become a regular eatery since. Great service and awesome Parma's. The library of 10 books might not entertain you but the live music does, not sure if that's every night though?!
This place is grungy. The décor is dated and the food is very basic but suites the pool tables and live music feel. Service is friendly. It gets a lot of locals. It's like the famous Espy used to be.
Couldn't disagree more with the assessment on the parma. Mine was rubbery, tasteless and represented very poor value for money at 20 bucks. Stick with the specials Monday-Thursday.

Good old fashioned pub grub. Decent size portions of good quality food with a variety of decent beers to wash it down with.
Going to have to echo the general sentiment here; Elwood Lounge just doesn't have it.
