Accommodating staff, the best almejas (clams) I 've ever had, wonderful wine. All enjoyed facing the beach and taking in the beautiful sea air. This is quite upmarket; I love the contrast of beach vibe with fancy food, the restaurant does it so well. The beach at Calahonda is nice, I maybe wouldn 't return again in a hurry as I 'd think to go elsewhere. But for this restaurant, I 'd be back in a heartbeat. It 's a true chiringito (Spanish beach bar or restaurant) experience. And having been to many, this ranks within my top 3. You have to ask for the rice dishes at least an hour in advance, fair enough, we were hungry so we opted for the 'lubina salvaje ' (Wild seabass) and I 'm glad we did....
Esto es un paraiso, antiguo hotelito de los años 70 transformado en un espacio lounge a pie de playa, junto a un embarcadero natural y en un enclave pintoresco. Espectacular terraza con sombra de ficus centenarios, donde te sientas y no querrás levantarte, ubicado en un pueblecito que te sientes como en tu casa, sin turistas ni franquicias, solo chambaos, chiringuitos típicos. Son típicas las migas, el pulpo seco, las quisquillas pero lo mejor es el pescado de roca, los tomates con aguacate, el mango, tb el pescado frito, las roscas… cerveza Alhambra 1925 y un ron pálido de sobremesa. El habla de la zona puede resultarle raro a los de fuera, es su acento, pero son muy acogedores
This was the worst meal we’ve had in I can’t remember how long, but a long time. I don’t know if we just ordered the three worst things on the menu or what, as there were ostensibly happy looking people around and I’ve seen some good reviews, but we were very disappointed. Three langostines for 14 euros, a paella that I’m sure M&S could have done better as a ready meal, and a salad that was indescribably bad. I’m sorry, I’m not trying to do bad by people but it was so overpriced and I really don’t want other people to have this experience. I hope this restaurant can buck up because it’s in a lovely spot.
Espectacular la experiencia en el hotel, la localización, las habitaciones, el servicio, es decir, todo. El hospedaje ha sido muy bueno, todo muy limpio y agradable. El restaurante, la comida fascinante, los camareros muy amables, sobre todo Alex y Jose antonio, que nos trataron espectacular los días que estuvimos en el restaurante. Tienen mucha profesionalidad y muy educados. En general todo perfecto, volveremos a venir el verano que viene. Réservez une table maintenant
Ha sido una buena experiencia, tanto el hospedaje como el restaurante. Muy buenos camareros todos, sobre todo Jose Antonio, muy educado, atento y profesional en su trabajo. Por otra parte, el hospedaje muy bueno también, todo perfecto y muy servicial. Repetiremos!!!!!
