Went to get a smoothie at lunchtime on a Tuesday (during business hours) and the door was locked. We thought maybe they closed for lunch but there was no sign on the door or anything online that indicated they would be closed. We could see someone inside so knocked on the door a few times but they would not answer. I can understand if they want to close for lunch (though I'm not sure that's the best idea business wise), but they should make that clear on their website or through signage. Really disappointing since we drove 15 minutes specifically for Emerald City.
I love going to this place for their fresh fruit smoothies. It's a quick and easy spot with plenty of free parking and a bus stop nearby. I've never had to wait long, as the service is fast and friendly. Zach, the operator, is patient as you choose from their selection of 40 recipes. The smoothies are naturally sweet and delicious, thanks to the combination of banana and citrus. Whether I need a quick and healthy snack or a post-workout treat, Emerald City Smoothie is my go-to spot on Aurora Ave.
The interior was extremely dirty. All the appliances and walls were disgusting. The blender lid had black moldy material on it. I observed the guy put murky water in my smoothie. Why is he putting water in it ? There was a dog wandering around in the kitchen. Just because you are located on Aurora Blvd, doesn't mean you have to become like aurora Blvd. I get the same smoothie all the time from multiple other locations. This one did not taste right.
Please clean the blender cover. I have come to this location a handful of times, and every time the blender cover is dirty. I’ve been to other franchises, and their blenders and blender cover are CLEAN.I have not come back here since I found out another emerald city smoothie opened 5 months ago a few blocks down on aurora.Please clean and declutter this location, do better!

The service was awesome. The owner gives me Aloha vibes, the smoothies were delicious, and the girl ringing me up was so sweet and kind.
It would be a good idea for the restaurant to offer hot smoothies for customers who are feeling unwell.
I've been to all of the Emerald City Smoothies in the area and for some reason they're best here.
