Very nice. Like a good, pre-pandemic restaurant. Food was excellent, service was great and the downstairs bartender was awesome. Haven't really seen a restaurant that had it all together like this in years, but that's another story. Probably due to an alien invasion or maybe we're living in a post-pandemic alternate dystopia that seems to have missed this place. Woo hoo! I'm not telling anyone and keeping it a secret for myself.
Dining experience on the roof is completely different than inside. The server seemed to be on his own with all tables and not familiar with the food whatsoever. 50% of our order was wrong and took very long to replace, and even then, some items were still incorrect. No offer to resolve that by adjusting the bill. The food that came out correctly tasted good, but the experience was off-putting.
The chicken wings could be better in presentation if they we separated and cooked differently either baked or fried. It was a messy plate and they were not tasty. I would not even try them. Everyone at the table was not pleased with them and said they needed to be recooked. Everything else was great (atmosphere, cleanliness, server quality, drinks etc)
Maybe this is the best gluten-free pizza for miles, but it's expensive and I have no trouble eating gluten. The Caesar salad is embarrassing: who puts six uncut romaine hearts in a box with a cup of breadcrumbs, a cup of dressing, and a sprinkling of parmesan and calls it a $14 Caesar salad? It's more like a hobby kit from RadioShack. Réservez une table maintenant
I weighed this tiny pizza on a digital scale and inspected it closely for the hidden compartments hiding the gold I assumed would justify its price. I found none just a whole lotta bread (i.e., Detroit style . Nevertheless, the handful of pizza we purchased was good, if scarce. Back to Paulie G 's!
