I discovered the Encore Patisserie Café earlier this year thanks to a new good friend Mohamed Hage; the NSW Chairman of AACCI who lives in South Hurstville. I have been there 3 times since, including this morning; Saturday 28 November 2015 and I found the Palmiers, Croissants, and Eclairs I have tasted so far of a very high standard as per their ingredients, textures and taste qualities. Some lovely cakes on offer here, and the coffee is quite good. My gripe here is that they resolutely refuse to sell anything apart from cakes and pastries with your coffee. I know, I know, you're a patisserie, and that's your core business, however at 10:30 am (when I often have a need to take a client for a coffee) I really don't feel like a sweet cake with my coffee. So many great cafe's and patisseries sell great stuff like toasted turkish fruit bread or other not so sweet treats (can't tell you how often I have asked them if they do raisin toast lol) - even toast and vegemite would suffice!Maybe I'm on my own here, I just feel if they offered their "not sweet tooth" patrons even one or t...
I used to go here to buy their scrumptious green glaze iced frogs that were originally famous in Brighton Le Sands Rondelai Cakes (closed) and later Michel's Patisserie. They stopped making them a few years ago due to time and lack of profit margin.I'm not really a cake person to be fair but everything is way too rich for me. Perfect if you have a sweet tooth.I wasn't impressed with the service however. And tea was like warm- tea has to be piping hot to enjoy.
Recently ordered a Classic French Croquembouche. Fantastic Bakery, underrated for the south Hurstville area. The Cake was easy to order and was reasonable priced. 2 important factors, when you first approach a business, its reputation was quite high so my expectations matched. The Cake was beautiful, packed to travel home with great instructions. The Cake was visually amazing and was the hit of the party. Will be using them for all my party needs

Genuine customer service and I must say, undeniably the very best Chocolate Mousse cake I have ever eaten. This cake is not too sweet, has an amazingly pleasing texture almost like ice-cream cake and when you try it, you know you've had that supremely high quality that is second to none. Impressed. Congratulations, Encore Patisserie!!
The Encore is a mecca for cake lovers. This little place has a wide variety of cakes, biscuits and slices to suit all tastes. The best time to go is around 4-5 pm weekdays when they have happy hour discounts. Also great for birthday and celebration cakes( order them in advance). Don't come in if you are dieting-theres nothing for you!
Wonderful cakes, pastries and pies. Coffee has markedly improved but still not as good as some other local cafes. Our first choice always for large cakes and flans for home lunches and dinners. Only marked Encore down one star due to average coffee.
Been twice once years ago, and another time today. The mille feuille was amazing then, and was just as delicious today! Bought a piece home for my family to try and they all loved it. Yum yum! Will be back!
