They remade/renovated the establishment back in 2014. The new strategy is a gourmet burger restaurant, which I would typically avoid. But I went and tested their menu. First, they have their own beer, which is fairly good. Second, the menu is mostly burgers....but absolutely better than your typical burger. Third, there is a outdoor garden area for summer periods.....which brings some charm and character to the establishment. Prices might be higher than you'd typically expect, but the quality of the dinner is four-star.....at least by burger standards. Nice place for a group of six to eight to visit. Wir gehen regelmäßig ins Engel und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Allerdings kann ich nur über die Burger und das leckere Kellerbier sprechen :-) Die Portionen sind üppig, der Service super.
