Where do I start? !! So it was the kings coronation and from the moment we arrived we were given complimentary sausage rolls, wraps, muffins and donuts, not what I expected from a local hostelry but I went along with it because that’s what you do on a day like today. Anyway, the landlord was friendly, so much so that he bunged me £0.50, I can only assume as sweetener, knowing he would soon get it back and some, I had a pint or two, the lager was too cold if I’m honest and the sausage rolls could have benefited from a few seconds in a microwave if you don’t mind me saying. Dropped in after work, and sampled a couple of pints and a couple of pies! The pies (we had steak and ale were simply delicious. An excellent pie experience. The mash was lovely too, soft and creamy. Extra gravy was offered on demand some like loads, some like a little. Great bar staff, friendly and welcoming. We would recommend this pub to you, and we will be returning very shortly. Had a quick lunch here on the way home from holiday. Really enjoyed it I had ham salad my husband had Scampl and chips. Small place friendly bar staff our food did not take long to arrive and was lovely would call in again if in the area
Met some friends for a drink before going on to dinner. Found the atmosphere very friendly. Some guys were watching a football game. They were having great fun but without disturbing other. Will certainly visit this pub again.

Good pub with good prices and a down to earth feel. One of the only places I could watch football. Hospitality on point and Ken knows how to look after people.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had great value and it’s made me feel incredible. Burger and chips was like something from a three star Michelin restaurant!

Great Pub watch the football landlord was very friendly enjoyed the night. Good choice of ales and beer. Plenty of tvs to watch sport

Great atmosphere since Ken and Carole have taken over. Excellent service and very friendly customers as well. Two great guest beers.
Watched the England rugby then the Tottenham match and Ken served chicken kebabs nice touch thanks Ken.
