This restaurant is located in the visitor centre in the Dachau Concentration Camp. We ate here at our recent visit to Dachau. The restaurant is like a canteen where you tell the counter staff what you want, and they give it to you to pay at the end of the counter. During our visit were some good sound specialties on the boards, including spaghetti with tomatoes, fish and chips. We chose fish and chips. We had to wait when the chips just finished cooking, but we could pay and the food would be brought to our table when it was ready. The fish was served in a light dough, which contains sesame seeds an unusual note, but very nice. It was a white fish, but I don't know what kind. It had a beauti...

I visited the Dachau Memorial on a recent trip to Munich. I was on my own and have a very limited understanding of the German language. It was also a bitterly cold day, so after spending some time in the memorial, I came to this place to eat something and get a cup of tea. The food was good, there was a varied menu and it was very cheap. But what made the difference for me was the patient kindness that I was shown by the staff who were very excited to make sure I enjoyed my meal. When I struggled to get the tea machine to work an employee, rushed to help without being asked and was friendly and patient with me. If they travel alone, these little kindnesses can make a big difference. I am ver... Réservez une table maintenant

It may seem a little strange to have a cafeteria at a former concentration/death camp, but given that you can easily spend a day here and still not see everything, it makes sense. Our tour group chose different items from the several options for lunch. I had the schnitzel and fries (I meant to get potatoes, not fries, but something got lost in the translation), followed by strudel for dessert. The fries were ok, but the schnitzel and strudel were great. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Understandably there is no alcohol beverage option, but there is N.A. beer. The service was very good, but the number of staff with a good understanding of English was probably lower than most places we d...
