My twin brother Stephen and I were wandering around this part of Playa De Las Americas when we decided to drop into Cafe Epoca and what a great find. A traditional cafe bar ,the interior is superb, a glass fronted serving bar dominates the main room, dark wood features abound throughout this cafe , great decor and furnishings, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Avenida Antonio Dominguez. Café-Bar Epoca is a traditional café-bar in Playa de las Américas that offers a decent food and drink's range and is in an area of Playa de las Américas where there are lots of pubs/bars and restaurants. Located on Av.Antonio Dominquez this is a traditional Canarian café-bar with a great interior with nice decor and a terrace with great seating options. We discovered Cafe Epoca many years ago and make a point of visiting for coffee and cake at least once on every visit to the island. The Varanini coffee has a real tang wihout being too strong, and the cakes are out of this world. Today we had hot doughnuts filled with chocolate in the centre and chocolate chips aplenty. The decor is modern but the counter is a work of art. To sit at a table on the terrace is to feel surrounded by elegance, yet a cafe con leche, an americano and the 2 doughnuts came to only 5.30 euros! Really friendly staff.
