This is the best non Asian food in the area. Filet mignon is my favourite but all the steaks are great. The combination of good quality meat and a chef who really knows how to cook it makes the choice of any steak a good one. It's nice to actually receive vegetables that are part of the price and and which is not a garnish. In my opinion, the salad is a bit light on although it tastes great, but this is just a personal preference. The serves are very generous otherwise.
After a hard day neither myself nor my wife fancied cooking so we popped into a local pub where we had eaten before and enjoyed the fare. On this occasion I had a beef and mushroom pie with mash and veg. My wife had a half slab of pork ribs with chips and sweet corn. Both meals were terrific. My wife is difficult to please in the food department but she was full of praise here. My pie was magnificent - full of flavour and cooked to perfection.
Love grabbing a meal at this hotel.The food is great and good variety. I love the tandoori chicken salad.The service is efficient and a great atmosphere.Can get busy on Fri and Sat night but you can easily reserve a table on line.Can be a bit noisy but it is a hotel so that is expected in peak times.
Came in for drinks and a good venue to hang out with mates. Big screen TV's, TAB and large bar area with a separate bistro area. Parking can be tricky so found it easier to go round the back and park in the Coles car park on Rawson street. Réservez une table maintenant
Staff were lovely, the food was so basic and plain. Ordered a perri perri burger and it was probably the worst burger I have had from a pub ever. Not worth the money. Other family members were also not very impressed with a few items.
A few friends often gather here for casual drinks and a bistro meal, always good and reasonably priced. Right across from the railway station and bus stop, a nice place to meet, not a real lot of atmosphere though.
I spent far too many nights in this hotel when I was first of drinking age & still drop by from time to time but the years & a few misdirected renovations
Given the bistro was empty for lunch on Jan 2nd, plus we only had a group of 8 people, our order should not have been that challenging. Réservez une table maintenant
Unsettling place to eat and drink... Some people were sleeping on the seats while some looked far too drunk. Bar staff very unfriendly.
