Lage Das Alte Rathaus am Markt von Steinfurt stammt von 1561. Hier ist auch Eppings´s Bier Café zu finden und nimmt mit seinem Biergarten davor gleich zwei Straßenseiten ein. Ambiente Innen ist alles dunkel gehalten, die Deckenbalken als auch der Holzfußboden. Das Mobiliar ist schon in die Jahre gekommen. Aber dennoch hat dieses Schummrige auch etwas Einladendes. Es gibt drei Räumlichkeiten, den großen Schankraum, der abgetrennt wird durch einen Durchgang, oberhalb mit Tiffani Scheiben (Schmetterlings Blumen Motiv und seitlich roten Vorhängen fast wie im Theater , und einen kleineren Raum mit dunklem Bücherschrank. For 9,90€ I had expected more at the roast potatoes. They weren't as I know typical roast potatoes. There were cubes instead of slices, not really fried, but rather fried. Würzung was good. A lonely mirror egg crowned the small very fat potato pile. Unfortunately, on the plate there was more salad than potatoes. Unfortunately, the very few bacon in the roast potatoes was also not crusty, but only looked very short. Too bad. Service was okay. Friendly, but a little overwhelmed. Although I didn't feel the place was very well visited. I've gotten tired, but still quite disappointed. :
we were with a bigger group here to eat and be cozy together. the menu does not offer a huge selection, but there is something for every taste. special sound found the carving with gorgonzola. also the crimson is recommended. the drinks were brought to us quickly and it was also regularly asked if there was anything else. the ambiente itself has more of kneipe and it can be a little louder.
The food has sufficient portion, also quite flexible with the menu. I ordered chicken chips, but it wasn't on the menu. Unfortunately, the roast potatoes were not crispy and not like classic in the slices, but thick cubes. The ambience was not so cozy as the room was quite cold. That was probably from the building, the pub is already old, but not properly heated.

the biercafe is located directly in the pedestrian zone and offers a small but fine and more than sufficient card. in the summer you can sit very nicely outside. the service is not to be suspended. very good choices for fair trips.
Although food is not bad and staff is friendly, their personal presentation induced doubts about their hygiene standards. We ate here once , it's a busy place but we like our staff a bit more presentable
A very nice authentic bier cafe with exceptional food. I had a schnitzel with mushroom sauce that was delicious. Dessert was equally good with homemade strudel and house made walnut ice cream.
moeilijk as je innerloopt van waar wil ik zitten.Gezellig druk is het er altijd. beetje bruin cafe, different dan de meeste cafe’s in Duitsland.Eten gemiddeld, lekkere biertjes.
