Tossup between 3 and 4 stars. Not bad for a typical Thai restaurant. The decor is somewhat upscale, and a lot of the menu is seafood. The menu has a lot of choose your meat with this or that curry type items typical of common restaurants, but also has some unusual choices as well like shrimp with spinach and tamarind sauce. There are also a lot of traditional dishes on the menu like pad thai and pad see-eiw (which we didn 't try). We had a papaya salad, a Thai dumpling (kanom jeeb), and seared scallops in a coconut milk and curry sauce (hoi shell). The appetizers at the restaurant were tasty, but unfortunately, our main dishes were not prepared correctly. We had ordered three of the same chicken dish - one without spice, one regular, and one with extra spice. However, all three dishes came out without any spice at all and were quite bland. The chef should have made sure to follow our specific requests, or at the very least, the waitress could have suggested alternative options for those who wanted either no spice or extra spice.
I definitely will be reserving here again! I’d been to Erawan before, so I knew that the food would be great. The food was amazing; workers were so friendly, but I did notice that the price was a little steeper than I remember it a few months ago. There are definitely cheaper Thai places to go to for similar taste, but I think for location sake it was pretty reasonable. My husband and I have been dining at Erawan for over 10 years and always an excellent meal. We travel from Suffolk County to Bayside about 1x a month and have brought numerous friends with us. The owners are always there making sure everything is top notch! They are both great people! And their son is the bartender and makes a great Asian pear martini too! If you want great authentic Thai food this is the place!

Great neighborhood restaurant, Paul is truly the ultimate gracious and super hospitable professional owner which serves the best Thai cuisine in the city. Our go to place for all occasions. Great service and super delicious food!
This is a neighborhood gem. The food is consistently delicious. Dumplings and curry puffs are excellent apps and in season the mango sticky rice is a must dessert.
We ordered duck dish. Rubbery and gamey. Not fresh made. My wife and i suspect they used MSG flavorings because we both got head aches aftwr we left
food and service were terrific. we were a party of six and ordered in a family style manner sharing dishes. would recommend and would go back.
