Fantastic food and a wonderful staff! It's a small, cozy spot with ample parking at the Glen Head train station. I can't believe I waited this long to visit. The menu is impressive. The stuffed artichoke, the tender and lemony chicken veal francese, and the bolognese special made with a mix of chicken, veal, pork, and duck were all absolutely delicious! I'm excited to return, especially to try all the dishes with "Ernesto's" in the name. We were seated next to a couple who had just come from LGA, and a guy at the bar mentioned that he dines here every week!
We've lived here for 11 years and never tried Ernesto's. We went last night for our anniversary and couldn't have been more happily surprised. The food was fantastic and the service was great. We're going to make up for lost time by heading to Ernesto's whenever family or friends are in town. What a gem for Glen Head; so glad we've discovered it finally. We recommend this place heartily but it's an intimate setting so make sure to check for a table or make reservations before you go.
Mixed drinks were ok; food was not properly prepared. Pasta was extraordinarily salty; grilled pork chop was soft but tasteless and placed in onions and vegetables that were extremely spicy and hot. This could have been a good dish if prepared properly. Ceasar Salad was OK; beet salad was not. Room is very small--which is ok--but tables are placed near serving stations which makes some tables extremely uncomfortable. Some tables are fine.
That was my second visit to Ernesto, and I absolutely love it! Everything here is excellent—food, service, and ambiance. The chicken parmesan was incredibly tender and flavorful. The tortellini was creamy and delicious, and the penne alla vodka was simply delightful. Everything was fantastic, and I can't wait to come back again!

My experience at the restaurant was dreadful. The waiter accidentally spilled hot sauce all over me and didn't even apologize. Instead, he hurried to clean up the mess he made. The owner didn’t offer any compensation for my ruined pullover and slacks. I definitely won't be returning.
Owner Dylan always greets everyone with a friendly smile. This is one of the most welcoming places with delicious food. Easy to park, convenient and a great neighborhood spot -we return for these reasons and more.
The food was fantastic! The wild mushrooms were incredibly delicious, and the calamari was perfectly tender. We all polished off our pasta plates. This place is definitely on my favorites list!
The dining experience was outstanding, complemented by friendly and attentive service. The owner and staff are incredibly accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant!
