we were on our business trip looking for a place to eat. estragon seemed to read well after the reviews, but. I am absolutely shocked (not in good way unfortunately) as we were treated by the owner. we ordered 2 dishes - both were badly prepared and the fish was completely raw. second dish was dreadful- boiled in a round, without seasoning, salt, pepper, which from this a tasteless potato ball. We immediately reported our doubts about which the waitress conveys our complaints to the kitchen and then that happened beyond the belief situation. the owner who was also the chef of estragon came out. he stood next to our table and began with when they don't like my kitchen, they must leave my apar...
Wir waren jetzt zum 2ten Mal im Estragon. Genau wie beim ersten Mal sind wir begeistert. Vor 2 Jahren sind wir im Urlaub zufällig dort gelandet und waren alle (4Personen/4 unterschiedliche Gerichte) sehr begeistert. Also war klar, wenn wir nochmal in Nürnberg sind müssen wir wieder hin. Der Service ist flink, freundlich und aufmerksam Das Ambiente geschmackvoll. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Ob Fleisch, Fisch, vegetarisch oder vegan. Wir hatten beide als Vorspeise die Spargelcremesuppe. Mein Hauptgang war die Blumenkohlpaella, die war phantastisch abgeschmeckt, besser geht's nicht. Mein Mann hatte,die Rigatoni mit geräucherter Forelle, auch er war begeistert. Zum Dessert...
herrschte im Estragon, als wir mit den Kollegen in der Vorweihnachtszeit dort Essen waren. Der Gastraum wirkt einladend ist jedoch sehr beengt. Der Service ist zügig aber ob der vielen Tische eher sachlich. Die Speisen waren allesamt geschmacklich gelungen, zumindest wirkten alle zufrieden. Das preisliche Niveau würde ich als moderat beschreiben. Toll ist der im Restaurant gelebte Inklusionsgedanke. Wer einen gelungenen Abend ohne Suche nach Chichi verbringen möchte, ist hier sicherlich gut aufgehoben.
Wir sind zufällig auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden und am 1. Abend in Nürnberg zu Zweit dort gewesen. Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir am nächsten Abend 4 Freunde mitgenommen haben. Alle waren von Ihren Gerichten begeistert. Die Auswahl ist sehr kreativ gehalten und Vegetarier haben eine gute Auswahl. Die Karte insgesamt ist eher klein gehalten. Preis-Leistung ist sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

I got the argentien beef and I was not disappointed. Good meat, well prepared but only with some greens on the side. I missed some potatoes and sauce, but good none the less. The soup which we got as the starter was, however, not particularly good. The overall price was reasonable and the atmosphere was fine. I would visit again. Like at other places in that area, they only took cash which is annoying.
I booked a table for 50 people which was the whole restaurant for our business group visiting Nuremberg. We had an aperitif in the courtyard area and a 3 course meal with quite a large choice for such a big group. The food was really lovely and the service was excellent. Would definitely return! Many thanks to Helmut and his team for the great experience! My whole team loved it.
we went there 1 year ago and it was amazing, and we wanted to get the feeling back. what a disappointment. the food was obviously reheated, the sose too salty. so the prices are cheaper and the restaurant ambiente is nice, but our stomacks felt weird enough to...Skip dessert at the end, which is not often happening! I wouldn't go back.
Had dorado with stewed asparagus. No fancy serving, but clean taste. Portion was normal west european size; I guess some people expecting german gargantuanism will be disappointed, others relieved. Nice, but a bit whimsical staff.

this is my first and only 5-star rating, because for me a restaurant must be very extraordinary and estragon is clear that. if you appreciate fine eating and gourmet quality, book and enjoy.
