We had not been there in a while and decided to try again. I remember the cozy library and fish. We started with the spicy Tuna tartar, not really spicy. It was quite good but needed a kick to it. We also tried a special salmon appetizer. For dinner they had a veal shop and I asked for medium rear, she said to try medium plus due to the size of it. Should have gone the way I had chosen. We also ordered the fillet mignon, medium rare with a crab cake. We had to return the fillet mignon, it was overcooked, the crab cake was quite bland. I asked them to keep my chop warm while waiting for the fillet. We waited about 15 minutes for it. My chop was even drier and opted to take more than half home...
I recently had one of the best nights out I've experienced in a long time. My partner and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we felt truly special throughout the evening. The library-themed atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating a cozy setting for our celebration. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, readily answering our questions about the specials. The drinks were well-crafted and strong, adding to our enjoyment. I never had the chance to try the food at Esty. They closed early one evening without notifying us. This happened after I called to modify a reservation and followed the instructions to leave a message, but I never received a callback. I drove to the restaurant during their advertised hours to make the changes in person, but the doors were locked. In the end, I had to cancel and rebook my reservation to accommodate the changes I needed. While I did confirm the new reservation, when my party of seven arrived at Esty, we found a handwritten note on the door saying that we wouldn't be able to dine there. The food and service have always been outstanding at Esty Street, however Saturday February 24 was an exception. The food was outstanding, however the service was extremely disappointing. Our waiter was extremely inattentive, impatient, and aloof. He was annoyed when asked to repeat a special, he did not check on our table after the food was delivered, and he did not notice that we had two empty wine glasses on our table midway though our meal. I actually went to the bar and ordered more wine, as he apparently had no interest in providing us refills... Since this experience was an exception to the norm, I will give Esty Street another try.
Outstanding service, food, cocktails, I mean this place is amazing. The Manager has the same name as me (Steven) one of the nicest guys, he always makes us feel like we are the most valued, important people every time we dine and makes us feel special . Thank you and thank you for always being so generous, helpful and kind to us every single time we dine with friends and family and or colleagues. The absolute best restaurant Love this place and love the staff, what a pleasure .
Our first return to Esty Street since the pandemic. We weren't sure what to expect. Everything was terrific. Full dining room, robust menu, great service and still a beautiful ambiance. We are so happy that nothing had changed. We should have gone back sooner. We will be back for another delicious dinner!
My first time there, the food service was terrible our reservation was for 7:45. They didn’t seat us u til 8:30. We didn’t get our meal until 10:15. Will not go back. The only one that was helpful was the hostess. The amount of money I spent there they should have been on top of things. Very

When called a restaurant and hour before reservation to confirm if can add more people, they told that are closed. I understand emergency situations, but do not connect with customers????? We had double birthdays to celebrate that day....
