I dined at this restaurant last year and had a great meal. However, my most recent visit was not as positive. My family had a 6pm reservation, but when we arrived we were left standing in the crowded reception area without proper social distancing. We were informed that our table was not ready and then ignored for 25 minutes. Another family of the same size arrived early for their 6.30 reservation and were seated before us. This delay upset one of my children, who was no longer hungry by the time we were finally seated. Despite the busy August eat out offer, there was no apology or explanation for the delay. This modern, clean and comfortable Nepalese restaurant is located in a quiet location opposite the bonnington theatre on the arnold high street and is equipped with a large parking space and disabled areas. our first visit, with friendly permission of a voucher, was a more pleasant. a warm and friendly welcome, personal service of the owner, freshly prepared and cooked good quality ingredients mixed with fine flavors for an unforgettable eating. there was a good number of gluten free and dairy free options for all flavors. portions were satisfied and the tellers were hot and clean in this 5 star hygiene rated restaurant.
On entering the restaurant was mainly empty, sat down ordered wine came lovely and ice cold, pompadoms were crispy , ok pickle tray, starters were ready made and micro reheated , onion bhaji was nice tasting, Nan was nice but the main dishes were a big disappointment They were both the same sauce, one slightly sweetened, and nothing like the description on the menu. This restaurant does not do desserts , not even a brownie or ice cream so hence the main dishes being has described and no sweet menu , we won't be going again
they have the best Nepalese foods out there (try the mamios) and they have a busy take-away business. Eating, however, is completely empty and they could use some more business to help them out of this pandemic. the service and the hospitality were amazing and eating even more. as to the parking lot, the parking space directly above the street 2 hours free parking when they come from further afield. This was our first visit and we were very impressed. The food was excellent and subtly different to the usual Indian fayre that one tends to get in most Indian restaurants. Service was polite, efficient and unobtrusive. Prices were reasonable. We will certainly go again. Highly recommended.
We have ordered takeout from Everest on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. My partner always orders the korma and it is always delicious. This restaurant has become our favorite place for Indian cuisine, and we look forward to dining in there in the future.
