We came for lunch just when the restaurant opened. We picked it because of all the very positive reviews on both Trip and Yelp and were in the area. The atmosphere and staff had us off to a great start but it seemed to go down from there. We each ordered different dishes from the menu and the food (all be it coming to our table very quickly) was nothing special. It was so so. Just didn't match up to the reviews. Seemed kind of tasteless. Maybe was expecting just a lot more for the price and reviews. I don't think I would be back and certainly wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
Went for lunch, I'd describe the whole experience as - good. Wasn't anything that particularly struck out as great but the main course, dessert and wine pairing were all enjoyable. My waitress was both friendly and helpful with any questions.The lighting was dingy but I think the restaurant is more geared towards an evening time vibe.If there was one downside was that they charged for bread (should be complimentary!) and it was pricey (for bread).

We tend to choose restaurants closer to home to avoid crossing bridges and fighting traffic however the lunch that we enjoyed here justified the time spent in the car.Service was friendly and efficient. The food - we enjoyed the pasta special - was fresh and delicious. We would recommend this as a good place especially for anyone who was in the Kitsalano area.

Très belle salle de restaurant ( bois et briques) et ambiance assez " cosy" .La cuisine est excellente, les poissons (saumon notamment) mais aussi les coquilles saint Jacques sont idéalement cuits et cuisinés.Les dessers sont également très bons.
My wife and I have come to Kitsilano for the last two summers and Fable has been outstanding both visits. High quality food and chef preparing it. Highly recommend.
Service was excellent - the server knew all the ingredients and the flavour profiles of the dishes. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious.
Unfortunately a fairly large group (10-12?) was seated at the same time with us3 small children, sometimes running around and screaming.
