"I discovered this hotel during a last-minute, impromptu trip to Louisville. The hotel was clean, the room was pleasant, and the breakfast was satisfactory. Although the initial greeting wasn't the best—likely because we arrived at 10:30 PM—I still had a decent experience overall."

The best thing I can say about this hotel is that the staff that we met was all very friendly and helpful. When we turned the corner and saw the Fairfield, we thought WOW! That looks brand new! ...well, that one was, but the GPS told us to keep on going. They are building a new Fairfield next door, and it 's really a good thing, as this one is well past it 's prime. We stayed here based on a 4.2 review score on the Marriott site, and picked it because of it 's location (centrally located to the tourist stops we wanted to make over a 3 day period . and...we were fooled. Now I know to not trust the actual corporate website. This is not a 4+ Fairfield by Marriott hotel. At best, it 's a 2 for a...

Right off the highway, allows dogs. Staff is very friendly, location is relatively new and clean. There are a couple good options for eating within walking distance. Workout room has some interesting equipment, not a lot, only 2, but there was only 1 person in there at any time i noticed. The real issue is the $75 dog fee. It is excessive and not worth it, for the short amount of time we spent in the room. The rooms are nice, similar to a courtyard king bed, microwave and fridge, work area, and a chair to relax in. Restroom had the sink outside, and unfortunately i didn't check before i got in the shower, but they left 2 conditioners no shampoo and no lotion, so i had to just use soap... sig...

I'm disappointed to share that after spending some time working here, I've noticed several issues that concern me. The hotel itself is very clean, and the breakfast is excellent. However, there are dangerous individuals allowed to stay in the hotel, which is alarming. I've expressed my fears and discomfort about the guests that my boss has permitted to check in, many of whom are involved with hard drugs. I've reached out for help from HR, but unfortunately, I've received no response. Additionally, my private medical history has been shared with guests, which is deeply troubling. It’s unfortunate because the hotel has a lot of potential; it just needs some improvements regarding staff managem...

The property badly needs an upgrade; honestly, Marriott should consider revoking their brand association with it. On the day I was leaving, I had no water in my room, and I didn’t have the time to switch rooms because I had a flight to catch. Additionally, the staff showed no adherence to COVID protocols at all. There are plenty of hotels in this area, and as a loyal Marriott customer (Titanium Elite Bon Voyage), I can say this was just unacceptable. I advise you to keep looking, as you’ll likely regret staying here. Réservez une table maintenant

This was our second stay at this hotel, and we really enjoyed it. The room came equipped with a fridge and a microwave, which I love. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. Our room was clean, and we stayed in a jacuzzi suite. My husband enjoyed the jacuzzi, but the jets started making an odd noise, so he decided to turn them off. Despite that, it was still a fantastic room for a great price.

We were visiting Bernheim Forest nearby and decided to stay here for the night. As a titanium loyalty client, I trust the marriott brand, but again, disappointed. It was very dated and had a funky odor throughout the hotel. we just couldn't stand it and left before nightfall. The staff was very friendly but just not a good place to stay... the new Hilton was probably a better choice.

The room itself was sufficient. The air conditioning worked well, and I appreciated having a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. However, the bathtub was very small—short and shallow. Overall, the hotel served its purpose and was reasonably priced for what it offered. The free parking was a nice perk, but I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again if given the option."

There were drinks and leftovers in the fridge, and despite several requests to clean it up, nothing was done. This raises concerns about whether the place was actually cleaned before our arrival. Additionally, there was no shower liner. On the day of checkout, we also had housekeeping come to our room at 8:30 in the morning. Réservez une table maintenant

Very overpriced for the area...$198 final bill for 1 night. A shower that wouldn't drain and was thick with bleach cleaner. A few days later I was in a Hampton Suites in New Smyrna Beach for $40 less, and a much nicer property a few hundred yards from the beach. A little gouging in Shepherdsville!
