For such a highly rated place I sure was expecting more and left a bit disappointed. The falafel was tasty and had some nice spice to it, but it was nothing out of ordinary or memorable. The ambiance of the restaurant is very low key, I asked for a plate for sit in and they packaged it to go.. while I was eating there, the staff behind the counter were what seemed to be arguing with their manager on their cleaning shifts right in front of customers. Service just ok.
This restaurant offers great value for the money, featuring fresh and delicious dishes, along with extremely friendly and helpful staff who make you feel at home. If you're looking for a quick and satisfying meal, this is the spot for you. While I consider Makarios to be the top Mediterranean restaurant in town, Falafel Cafe is a fantastic fast-casual option with outstanding service, tasty food, and a lively, big-city atmosphere.
Every time we visit the city, we make it a point to come here, and we are never disappointed! The pita is fantastic, the meat is exceptional, the prices are reasonable, and the sauces tie the entire dish together perfectly.

This is the best chicken shawarma I've ever tasted. The food is incredible and reasonably priced. You won't find a better spot for lunch in Birmingham.

Best falafel and shawarma in Birmingham. Hands down. Moses, the owner, is a pretty awesome guy too. Eating at Falafel Cafe is a win all around.
