Fantastic little pub. I have been a regular for over 20 years. As long as you are friendly, you will have a good time. The staff and other customers do not tolerate any nonsense. If you are looking for a place to have a beer and a good laugh, this is the place to be. They have live music every Friday and it is conveniently located near trains, buses, and taxis. No complaints here.
Love this pub. Unashamedly enjoying nights out in Kilmarnock since 1997. There are a few proper or traditional pubs left (this being one of them) which are perfect compared to the larger chain pubs. Great atmosphere, good chat from bar staff and locals and a decent selection of drinks. Juke Box and Dart Board a bonus. It is what you make it.
IGNORE EARLIER REVIEWS. NO REAL ALE FOR YEARS. Another victim of outdated Google search terms and old reviews. Pleasant old Victorian character and dog friendly but only of interest to lager drinkers. Didn't even have Guinness on our visit. I really wish places would maintain their Google profiles and info.
