It was my first experience dining at a Farmer Boys restaurant. I ordered the new Spicy Chicken sandwich along with some onion rings and also decided to try the zucchini strips. To my surprise, both side dishes were served in generous portions, even though I had just ordered regular sizes. The zucchini strips were particularly impressive, as they were made from a whole quarter of a zucchini, resulting in four substantial pieces. The onion rings were also large and well-prepared—not overly greasy and very enjoyable. The chicken in the sandwich was tasty, featuring a nice kick of spice paired with a delicious bread. Overall, I had a great meal!
Stopped by around 8:15 at night today. Waited about 40 minutes in drive through with 5-6 cars in front. Once I got my food. The burgers were bad. The meat had a strong smell and once I took a bite I realized they completely burned the patties. The patties were completely black, hard crunchy and tasted like burnt. I didn't even enjoy the burger and left most of it. It's like they didn't even care about quality of the food anymore cause they were about to close. Want my money back. The food is excellent but tends to be on the pricey side, typically attracting a demographic of bearded gentlemen, particularly from a Caucasian background. I say this with the utmost respect for these patrons. If you're able to splurge a little, it's a fantastic spot to enjoy a satisfying meal. Just a note: farm-fresh food is not the same as fast food.
