We arrived without a booking so waited with a drink for 10 mins which was absolutely fine, the bar area was pleasant. The pub had a fair few customers, but was by no means full which makes the service we received unexplainable. Once seated we ordered our roasts and had to wait almost an hour for them to arrive. If the food had arrived after 10-15 minutes I would have been fine with the carvery quality food, but an hour to have frozen veg, potatoes and Yorkshire puddings unceremoniously dumped in front of me without a word from a miserable waitress was disappointing. The other servers were very pleasant, and did apologise for the wait. It was a cheap meal (thankfully) but I don’t think that w...

We had a delightful Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The beef was incredibly tender and the nut roast was delicious. The meal was excellent value for the money, especially with the dessert options like pineapple crumble, ice cream, chocolate chip orange cake. Stacey greeted us warmly, Olivia was very accommodating, and Leanne made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place. Be sure to make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment, as you will not be disappointed with your experience.

This pub had been recommended to us for Sunday roast. Very friendly staff, family and dog friendly pub. Busy every Sunday according to staff, very busy when we visited. Decent choice of draught ales. Roast beef and lamb chosen, both were very average. Not enough vegetables, no seasoning. Potatoes solid, parsnips pale. Meat over cooked. Dessert good, sticky toffee pudding. We wouldn't visit again for Sunday roast, but pub is obviously very popular

First time visiting this pub and my gf hadnt been here for some years. We tried Sunday lunch, luckily we booked as it was rammed! We were served quickly, and enjoyed some of the books left on the windowsill. Once our order was taken it was about a 20minute wait. That's to be expected for a small pub. The wait was worth it. One of the best Sunday roasts I've had. Hats off to the staff and landlord. Keep it up, we will be back! Réservez une table maintenant

It had been a few years since my last visit, so I decided to give this restaurant another try, especially after learning that they offer Gluten Free options. I had a lovely Sunday lunch with excellent accommodations for those with Celiac disease. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Hadn’t been here for a while as it’s a bit out of our way. Lovely warm greeting from behind the bar as we arrived. The food was every bit as good as it was the last time and there is a good choice of well kept Fullers beers. Great idea with the menu offering medium or large plates. Won’t be so long before we return next time.

Been here a couple of times with the zoo volunteers. The landlady and her team looked after us really well and service was superb, despite us being a fairly large group. The food was delicious and a sized nice portion. Well kept ale and a good choice. Look forward to coming back very soon! Thank you

Excellent village pub. Great value and great quality food, a wide range of smashing beers, and a lovely village atmosphere. Staff are excellent too, very welcoming and helpful. Always busy at weekends, which tells you all you need to know. Highly recommended. Réservez une table maintenant

I visited the Farmer's Boy for the first time and it exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. I went for lunch on a Saturday and would definitely like to come back to try the Sunday Roast. I will definitely be returning.
