I ordered two cheeseburgers, a large crazy fry, and a medium Pepsi with no ice—my usual choice. It definitely satisfies your hunger since it qualifies as food. However, about 45 minutes later, you might feel like you’ve consumed a one-pound weight in your stomach. And then, a few hours later, get ready for that weight to settle in with a heavy discomfort. Fast Eddie's: you'll be full, but you won't feel great about it.
I usually enjoy Fast Eddie's, but my experience on Friday night was disappointing. We arrived around 9 PM after work for dinner, and the burgers were terrible. We had to park and wait for the steak burgers to be cooked, and when they finally arrived, they were overcooked and falling apart. The sauce seemed to have been sprayed into the corner of the box instead of on the burger itself. Overall, I was really let down.
I went through the drive-thru and unfortunately, the staff seems to have difficulty understanding what a plain cheeseburger is. My son is quite particular and only wants the cheese and patty. I make this request clear every time we visit, but for the past three visits, they still haven’t gotten it right. Each time, there has been either mustard or ketchup added. It shouldn't be too difficult to remember.
I was visiting from out of town and encountered an early closing time. The employee had a dismissive attitude, claiming they were too busy even though we were the only ones in line. When I mentioned that this was the fourth time they had closed early and that I might reach out to their head office, she responded with an unhelpful "What do you want?" and a nasty look. Fast Eddie's is somewhat of a local landmark. The food isn’t gourmet, but that’s not the intention. I find the burgers here to be better than those at McDonald's, but the real highlight for me has to be the Beefy Fries. It's a simple idea that’s hard to come by elsewhere—just fries topped with delicious beef gravy. I do miss the 39-cent burgers from when they first opened, though!
I've been a regular at this restaurant since I started high school, which has been about five years now, and I've never had any complaints about the food. I usually order some fries, and on days when I'm feeling down, I treat myself to one of their dollar milkshakes. Overall, it's a great spot to grab a bite if you're in the area.
