I had food from here before when the old owners had it, long wait but the food was nice, so I thought I would give it another try now it was under new management, I fancied the 'loaded fries '. I went in an ordered thinking this would be the quickest way, but seems like they were prioritising the delivery customers as lots of those went out while I waited 25 minutes outside. Chips were horrible, I ordered loaded fries but it was just dry chippy chips with a really bland sauce in a tub on the side. I ordered a two single burgers and a double, got two doubles and a single instead, almost £25 and the chips got left as they were foul, real waste of money and time, gutted
I have always loved this chippy but I can’t say it will be my chosen choice anymore. I witnessed something so so cruel. A nice man came in to order some food, without a mask, and immediately a red haired woman behind the counter started verbally attacking him. He said he was exempt but she just did not want to listen to him. She actually made him wait outside in the rain for his order. I just found it so uncomfortable. Just because someone isn’t wearing a mask you can’t prejudge them and treat them terribly. Shame on that woman. She could at least of giving him a chance to speak.
We were going to get our fish chips from a rival place but read the reviews on here changed our minds. So very glad we did. I phoned through our order was told 10 mins. So hubby went to collect it was ready bang on time. We ordered the meal deal one one Small fish dinner one large fish dinner. Was fresh, crispy not greasy everything you could want in a fish chip supper. Was so impressed as had fish chips a couple of months ago somewhere else was so disappointed. Not so tonight, get your dinner here, you can’t go wrong. Will be back
I love the burgers from here they were thick and juicy. But today I don’t know what’s going on the burgers are allot thinner, dry. And the bun is tiny! Yet the prices have gone up. If you have switched butchers switch back because this burger wasn’t it. The bacon wasn’t that nice either. Chips were okey not like they use to be. So not sure if I would order again from here. Disappointed and not worth the price. Plus it took soooooo long and I don’t even live that far

Such a bad experience I signed up to trip advisor just to leave feedback. Used to love this chippy but won’t use it again. Ordered online, delivery was very late, chips were stale, fish cake was like a hockey puck and fish batter was akin to cardboard. Phoned up to notify them of the issues and was told I would have to bring the food back myself. Could hear the miserable manager on the phone in the background who sounded like she clearly doesn’t care. Cheers
Not a great meal. The pies were soggy as obviously microwaved. Usually chip shops turn them upside down in the heated cabinet so they crisp up a bit. Also the chips weren’t great either. For something that is deep fried they were rather dry. Obviously hanging around too long. I understand under new management so I’ll give them a second chance again in a few weeks in the hope they go back to their previous standards.
Won't wax lyrical. I normally order burgers, chicken pizza etc if I'm having a takeaway. Ordered fish and chips from fat boys tonight l for a change, prompt delivery, and the fish was beautiful as were the chips and curry sauce. Will deffo be having this again. Well done. Look forward to the next one.
Great fish and chip shop. Then customer service was great as they accomidated to what i was requested. Food was amazing highly recommend especially their burgers!! Like wow so tasty and proper beef unlike alot of places!!

Blinks lush. Big piece of fluffy fish covered in fresh crispy batter. No grease had the set meal. With mushy peas n tartar sauce. Couldn’t eat all the chips the fish was so filling highly reccomend xx
Ordered online and collected. Food was very good. Chips nice and not greasy. Battered sausage very good.
