Favourite Kitchen - Réserver une table

Have been meeting with friends for the last four years at this restaurant, so we were excited to have our fifth reunion there. Oh dear, change of staff. No welcoming smile from waiter. Numerous issues with ordering and then the food from the banquets was lukewarm and overcooked. Lobster San Choi Bau , was like risotto with no taste of lobster or any in it. Can only presume lobster stock. Duck was overcooked and dry in pancakes. Think the final straw was the Szechuan beef, due to ordering issues I hadn’t read the menu, we cannot eat spicy foods and would never have had this, waiter offered to take it and wash it. A few days ago my wife I had lunch at the Favourite Kitchen Chinese Restaurant in Wantirna. We had been to this restaurant a long time ago. It is a fairly big dining area and was full of people. Most appeared to be having Yum Cha. We ordered Seafood San Choi Bow as an appetiser, and Singapore Noodles, Prawns Szechuan Style, mixed Vegetables off the Menu. The Singapore Noodles were very good; a big serve enough I thought for 3 or 4 people it was quite tasty. The highlight from my point of view was the Szechuan Prawns. I thought it was fantastic; my complements to the chef. In my opinion the San Choi Bow the mixed greens were pretty average. This is not a cheap restaurant. But I found it well...

Visited today and the yum cha was great. However, when paying, I endured false advertising. The sign said a surcharge was applied to credit cards and I was surprised when the lady surcharged me when I used my debit card. When I asked, she said a debit card was the same as a credit card. Hmmmmm. She obviously did not the difference and was adamant she was correct.

We had dinner with friends last night at Favourite Kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The food was delicious with generous servings. Possibly a little pricey but overall we enjoyed it.

On the spur of the moment recommendation from meeting up with a long lost cousin, we went for a vety nice Sunday Yum Cha at this place As far as yum chas go, it was very good I will be coming back here again
