Phoned at 10am on a Friday to check restaurant opening times and if we need to book. The hotel is a 30 min drive from where we are staying and we want to make sure. Restaurant open all day serving hot food from the main menu, except a kitchen break 4 till 5, and no a table for two will be fine to seat without booking. Okay we will be there 2.30 to 3.00, see you then. Arrive just before 3 and told the kitchen is shut we are only serving sandwiches we only have one chef on today with a half hearted apology, and the person we spoke to is in a meeting. Pointed us to a couple of cafes nearby serving hot food. Ended up at the Black Swan who serve hot food all day note, not pointed out as an altern...
I love this hotel and visit every year. The staff are exceptional, always willing to go above and beyond, and the food is outstanding. The rooms are comfortable, the service is excellent, and the location is perfect. Overall, this hotel is a great value and highly recommended.
