Have been to Fego many times over the years. Never again. No greeting at all at the door. I asked for a table and was showed to one with no words spoken to me. Menu was put on the table. Ordered the spicy eggs with smoked salmon as an add on. £5.95 for the smallest piece. The eggs were overcooked and jam packed with jalapeños. I do like jalapeños but way over the top. Had to pick loads of them out. The plate was put on the table and taken away without a word spoken to me. Awful service and awful breakfast. I paid £26.73 for the terrible food and an orange juice. Brilliant place to visit for vegans and non vegans alike. Separate vegan menu with an abundance of options, both sweet and savoury. All drinks are clearly labelled as vegan or not. Three non dairy milk options, all at no extra charge. Shakshuka was rich, sweet and spicy. Açai bowl was fresh and fruity. Best (and cheapest) dirty chai latte I've ever had! Gorgeous decor bright, clean and modern. Staff were all lovely and friendly really attentive. Very busy and they don't take bookings so be sure to arrive early, especially at weekends! A fab cafe and would recommend without a doubt!!
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I inquired with the waiter about whether the tofu wrap was vegan, and he assured me that it was. However, when I took a bite, I discovered that there was halloumi instead. The chef was unable to explain the mistake, but they did refund my meal. Additionally, my wrap arrived five minutes after everyone else's, and the food itself was bland.
I used to come here frequently before becoming vegan and have continued to enjoy coming back. Just a word of caution about their plant-based burger: there was one instance when the kitchen was busy and I accidentally received a beef burger instead. I bit into it before realizing the mistake. Great food, Great service and atmosphere. However, they have now introduced online billing which automatically adds a 12.5% tip, then asks if you would like to leave a further tip for your server. Seriously, what is this all about ? As a customer I was just left with a bad taste, Very poor move. There are so many other places that have clear pricing policies.
