It was just the best coffee time, so braking, parking in front of the hotel and walking in. A young man at the reception welcomed us kindly and gave us the way to the left in the “Crämerladen mit Omas Küche”. Magnificent! Not like a hip modern store, just like it's everywhere. Wir haben eine Nacht in diesem Hotel verbracht und insgesamt einen guten Aufenthalt gehabt. Das Hotel würden wir eher im 2–3 Sterne-Bereich einordnen. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, was uns besonders positiv aufgefallen ist. Auch das Frühstück war trotz Nebensaison gut und ausreichend, wenn auch nicht ganz so umfangreich wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. Beim Check-out gab es eine kleine Irritation, da kurz der Eindruck entstand, es würde eine Person auf der Rechnung fehlen – das ist jedoch nicht unsere Art. With 5 adults and 3 children we spent a night together at the Waldhotel Felsentor for a birthday. We were there for the first time and certainly not the last time. We the grandparents had a very spacious, quiet room with a balcony, shower, separate toilet, walk in closet. Everything was meticulously clean, functional, simply perfect for a 3 star hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Dinner in the hotel restaurant in the evening at a table lovingly set with starched cloth napkins. The dishes we selected tasted excellent and were prepared in a star class kitchen style. The buffet style breakfast was plentiful. Ich kann dieses Hotel absolut nicht empfehlen. Könnte ich 0 Sterne vergeben, würde ich das tun. Das Zimmer war sehr dringend renovierungsbedürftig.Der Teppichboden und Stühle waren total dreckig und wahrscheinlich seit Erbau des Hotels niemals erneuert worden. Sauber war es auch nicht, Spinnweben im ganzen Zimmer. Der TV ging nicht, hat aber das Personal nicht interessiert und war bekannt. Es war eine Unverschämtheit einem solch ein Zimmer anzubieten. Das 5 Gang Menü kann ich nicht empfehlen. Da erstmal 2 Stunden kein Essen kam, insgesamt hat es fast 6 Stunden gedauert bis die Gänge durch waren. Um halb 11 kam das Hauptaugericht. House/stem guests are unfortunately preferably served. Not suitable for fast snack. Operation after kitchen opening overwhelms and forgets to serve guests.
