Simply the best roast dinner of my life Everything was so superlative I had to force myself not to eat fast. Each individual item on the plate was the best of its kind I have ever had. Before you think I am a friend of the restaurant owners I am visiting from England and went with friends : Met at the door by a lovely gent who sat us and took our drinks order. Served by others who were non Intrusive and only interested in making our meal an excellent experience. I cannot explain how amazing the roast was. The meat was perfection, the honey flavoured veg was divine. The potatoes were unlike any I have ever had. Now the “Skirlie” I have neither seen nor eaten before. What a treat!! It was like...
Absolutely delighted with the meals served to our (very large) party this evening. The food was excellent throughout, with everyone delighted by their meal. The service was welcoming and friendly, prompt and helpful. I couldn't have been more pleased. Given the size of the party we had pre-ordered, but they coped well with a couple of late alterations and served all of the mains in a pretty short space of time, so no one was left waiting while everyone else ate. The service is second to none. The staff are amazing and so friendly and very attentative. The food is outstanding and so fine. The butternut curried squash soup was amazing and the surf and turf special my husband had was amazing and my chicken supreme with white wine and tarragon sauce was amazing and the sweets was sticky toffee pudding and the panacotta cannot recommend them enough. Five stars for the whole experience.
I discovered this restaurant for the first time through my friend. An amazing discovery! From the initial welcome to the ordering of our meal the staff were so friendly. We struck gold on ‘street food’ night and enjoyed some interesting menu choices. Delicious food and excellent experience. Thank you!

We booked for the Sunday roast and it was top marks all round. The staff were very friendly and service perfect from start to finish. The roast was delicious, plenty of it and topped with the biggest Yorkshire pudding. Dessert came quickly which suited us fine. All in all a perfect meal!
Haven’t been to Fennel for a long time. We ordered the street food menu and wasn’t disappointed. The food was lovely . There is the option of their main menus, but the street food was not to be refused. Serves were excellent and didn’t hound you like other restaurants sometimes do.
We were here with 3 generations for an evening meal as we have eaten here previously and enjoyed the ambience and tasty food. The staff are so welcoming and friendly without being intrusive and the menu has some great choices. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food again, thank you.
A lovely restaurant with very helpful and friendly staff. The food was nice. Vegan options were marked, including wine which was very helpful although vegetarian options i.e desserts were not marked. The menu could benefit from a couple more vegan/vegetarian options.

Lunch today was superb , fantastic food, excellent service, and a delightful atmosphere. Each of the of us tried something different, and everyone savored their meal. We're looking forward to returning soon.
