The food was excellent. The interior was a little dim, but it added to the cozy, old-fashioned feel reminiscent of The Godfather. The chili and cheese toppings were delicious. The portions were huge and the chips had a good crunch. As Texans who eat Mexican food regularly, we can say that this is good Mexican food. It's definitely worth a visit, and the location is a great break from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco.
My former neighbor and his fiance took me and my then boyfriend out to a dinner here years ago as a fun double date. I don't know what it's been like recently but back then, the food was delicious fresh with large portions and friendly attentive staff. To die for margaritas!!! I really miss this place as I've been in sacramento for the past decade but I'm glad to see it's still around and I'll definitely be back

The family-owned restaurant provides excellent service. Maria is a wonderful hostess who remembers the preferences of regular customers. I absolutely adore Fernandos. The staff is incredibly welcoming and treats you like family, and the food is amazing. The cheese they use is distinctive and adds a wonderful touch to their dishes.
