I loved this place and went here for a few dates with my partner over the last couple of years so it's a shame for me to say I will not be returning. I would like to note that the food has for the most part been good and comforting. I ordered the Cheese Tortellini Mushroom with Sage Sauce. While I'll admit, the order says sage in it, it was a lot of sage, more than a handful of leaves for one bowl. I could not eat it because the taste was so strong. I cook with fresh sage and other herbs at home so this was not just a new flavor to me or something of the sort. The waiter came by a couple of minutes later and asked how the food was. I politely said it is a little too much sage for my liking...
As we walked in, we noticed the outdoor lights were on, and we were warmly greeted by the owner, who seated us at our favorite window table. He always remembers where each customer prefers to sit. When we expressed our excitement about trying the lunch menu, he informed us that they no longer serve lunch but open early for those who want to stop by. We were thrilled!
We ordered from the main menu and were not disappointed; the food and service were excellent. The chef even came out to check on us to ensure everything met our expectations. He always takes the time to confirm that our meals are to our satisfaction.

I called earlier in the week to make a reservation for Sunday at 1pm and was informed that the restaurant doesn’t typically open until later in the day But Brian stated the he would be there for take out orders and could easily accommodate us in the restaurant at 1pm. His hospitality was amazing. He made us feel like family. We even got hugs when we left. The food was delicious and the menu has plenty of nice surprises… all with a flavorful flair. My bison burger with a caramelized onion aioli was a great follow up to the Smokey tomato bisque soup. A trip to Fiddelheads is a treat for your pallet and the staff will go out of their way to create a great dining experience for you.
I was in NJ for work and happened upon this gem of a restaurant. I came in during their takeout shutdown period (12 to 4 weekday) the staff was gracious enough to seat me regardless. Not only was the food beyond delicious and satisfactory the gentleman that served me I could not say enough kind words about. I had zucchini cakes, 2 glasses of house made lemonade and the black peppered tuna. Everything was unique and prepared wonderfully. This is an restaurant I would love to visit again. Until my next business trip to NJ, I will eagerly be thinking about the yummy food I experienced.

had no idea that this little incredible business existed at all when I am from the neighbor city until my buddy asked me to meet him there. from the communication get a reservation to the service and then the incredibly tasty eating. I will certainly recommend this place to my friends and my family. the one was really out, the muscles was amazing I will get a double order next time.
This is a little restaurant in Jamesburg that really puts out some great food. I had lunch here even though they don't serve sit down lunch. They accommodated my wife and I. We had the fried Fiddle head appetizer was very good. I had the tortellini with sage sauce amazing.
Decided to come back to this town to have pizza… And ended up next door at this place… Really really good food… Diverse menu… Very good competitive pricing… Sincere and friendly… Attentive… Customer service
We were a party of five and we all absolutely enjoyed our meals, talking about them for days! The service was excellent, the food was incredible, and the prices were very reasonable.
