Fig Tree - Réservation de table

I have loved this restaurant for many years, the food and service has always been reliably amazing, really inventive with good quality ingredient's. I took some friends on Saturday so they could appreciate the food but it was so disappointing the wine was excellent, the canopies delicious (as always), but the starter with lobster, hardly contained any, and the main course which was rabbit could have been anything it was such a let down and will not chance again

I'll start by saying that I can be disappointed by many hospitality/restaurants. Not this time. Really wonderful food, the beef main course was faultless, the other dishes excellent. All dishes served to Michelin star quality, accompanied by a reasonably priced wine selection. Very relaxed atmosphere, no over attentive service, great village to explore. Beautiful food, very tasty, well presented in a lovely environment. Whats not to love? Highly recommended.

Whilst the local pub and restaurant food is pretty good all round this part of Sussex, the Fig Tree in Hurstpierpoint is a quite exceptional eating experience. One of our party described it quite correctly as 'Gravetye at half the price '. The four of us had the set lunch menu, lobster starters were quite beautiful as was the wood pigeon breast and the mains of brill and pork both superb. Finally the black currant dessert was wonderfully imaginative.

We spent the evening here for our Ruby Wedding anniversary with our family, everything about our experience exceeded expectations. The food was delicious, beautiful presented and the service discreet but attentive. Wines were delicious, I was not aware the such fantastic wine was produced so close to home! James had arranged a very special final course, which was a really lovely surprise. Thank you all at the Fig Tree for such a wonderful meal. Réservez une table maintenant

The food and service can only be described as par excellence, exceptional value for money compared to other local fine dining restaurants. This small village restaurant deserves recognition with at least in the Michelin guide.

The food here is trly amazingly good and probably the most imaginative in Sussex. Every dish is a delight and the service perfect. Very nice SA Chenin at a reasonable price Réservez une table maintenant

Seven course set menu was all good . Very good beef and a lovely fresh confit tomato with buratta were two high points Good small wine list.
