we have visited el figon de montemar for more than years, a bit at the edge of the city near the classic heritage hotel pez espada in torremolinos. the chef isobel garrido is one of the most experienced chefs of the costa del sol and that is. the kitchen (cocina alta) best. the menu is extensive with only the best local fresh meat, fish, vegetables available. the quality will never be safely affected with its best in the city. the wine list is also long with excellent choices. if they are looking for crossover/modern experimental food, they can dissapointed. this place is located discreetly on the foot of an apartment block directly from the main square torremolinos to benalmadena. it's gone from the main move, but easy enough to find. they produced a free Spanish omelette and then we ordered some old cheese, meatballs and sucking lamb. the house white was very good quality and the service was good on a busy Saturday night. most demanding local people seemed to eat. it was medium price with the meatballs around euro and the **** about euro house wine euro. they can eat much cheaper in this environment, but if they want something more elegant with traditional Spanish cuisine, then they don't see further.

together with an international group of friends we visited this amazing restaurant for the first time with a very strong recommendation. we were not disappointed, but we were overwhelmed by the courtesy of the well-trained professional workers and wewow what delightful cooking. the chef came on our table and discussed the menu that was not extensive, but everything was clear fresh. weeping were a little cheaper, but there were weeping for all budgets. I look forward to returning and highly recommended.

this is a hidden gem. not only the front and not widely advertised, but the people who know food food know this place excellent meat and fish and the service is impeccable. could not blame it. highly recommended.
