Filippo - Réservation de table

Reservations for 645. Only table was upstairs. We had elderly in-laws with us and climbing stairs would be very difficult. There was no elevator. We were not aware there was an upstairs seating otherwise we would have made the request for a table downstairs. The restaurant was very crowded with many people waiting to be seated. No place to stand in the restaurant. Family had to wait outside in the heat. We were seated about 30 min later. The food is usually exceptional. However last night they seemed to be a little off. Our waiter was very nice and attentive.

Everything was great. Food was excellent. Only issue was that we sat upstairs and the waitress was stretched a little thin with the amount of people she was serving. Also after several customers sat upstairs the air conditioning could not keep up and it got a little warm. With this being said I will definitely be back. Food and drinks were spectacular they could have been having a bad night. The waitress explained that they only had two cooks for some reason, but we were not in a rush and it gave us time to visit and talk.

We had a really bad experience there. They stuck us at a table too close to the entrance, bar, and where the serving staff gathered. There is really no room there for a table. The noise level was horrific! The appetizer tasted like oysters with too many breadcrumbs thrown on top and the oysters all had shells in them. My husband's martini was horrible and filled only half of the glass! We will not be back nor will we encourage anyone to go there. Also, the waitress rushed us through the meal.

I hosted my wife's surprise birthday party at Ristorante Filippo. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. The owner made the planning process incredibly smooth and their attention to detail in food, drinks, and service was top-notch. It was a truly unforgettable evening and I am thrilled that I selected Ristorante Filippo for the occasion. Réservez une table maintenant

Service was spot on. Lori and Danielle worked as a team. The veal piccata was tender and perfectly done. We also had a side of the fettuccine Alfredo and it tasted like it was made table side. Look forward to another visit. Of note, glad we made reservations even on a Thursday at 7, it was packed.

Overall, OK! Steak had to be sent back as not cooked as ordered. Bill included for service fee for using a credit card. Seems to be the trend. Not Cool! Also tips on bill suggested starting at 20 ,25 30 . The dinning situation is getting out of hand. I won't be back!

Always an excellent experience. Perhaps the last real family run Italian restaurants in the New Orleans area. With the owner in the kitchen and his wife manning the front of the house you are insured a great meal and memorable time.

One of our favorite dining spots. You always feel like family, there. The owners are so kind and friendly and the food is always excellent! I would highly recommend to anyone seeking exceptional food and ambiance. Réservez une table maintenant

The food was subpar, the waitress was unfriendly, and there was a 20-step climb to reach the ladies' room. That pretty much sums it up.
