My friends and I chose fins as we had been there before. The restaurant was full but not packed. By the time we finished our meal there were a few open tables with no one waiting. The waiter came over and asked us to leave as they needed the table. As we were leaving, I stopped to talk to the hostess about needing the table. She said they will be needing it but not right then. She apologized and said she would talk to the waiter. As there are plenty of restaurants in Cape May that serve the same food, my friends and I will not return. So there is no second guessing, we tipped him 20%, he was just rude.
The food was average. A decent lobster roll, but the others in my party thought their food was nothing special. The music was a tad loud, but on a busy night that should be expected. Had to ask a waitress several times about getting a box for takeout. A long wait for drinks. Also 2.5% is added on to people paying with a credit card. Seems like they are pushing all costs of business off on the consumer. We were not notified of this charge beforehand. With their menu items being priced as they are, do they really expect people are paying with cash? Will not be returning.
It must've been an off day, but we ran into a few issues during our visit. Unfortunately, after ordering, we were informed there were no draft beers available due to a system issue. Our lobster roll had a large piece of shell, and the grouper bites were mostly breading. On top of that, we waited a while to be served due to a shift change. That said, the staff was friendly, and the food had good flavor, but the overall experience fell short this time.
I didn’t eat here but the staff were rude. I was seated and sat for 15 min and no one came over. There were 4 people less than 10 feet away and a bartender who looked over a few times but never asked if we were being helped or if we needed a drink. It’s as if they wanted us to leave . So we left. Had a great experience at a nearby restaurant and excellent food so they did us a favor. Thanks Réservez une table maintenant
They changed the whole menu. All the amazing food I anticipated and went there for (and told others as well) like the bang bang shrimp, tuna app and crab and arugula flatbread is gone. Now the SAME food offered like a few resturants in the same vicinity. Dissapointed.to say the least.
My girlfriend and I came here tonight, the week before Memorial Day, and had an amazing experience. The food, service, and live music were all excellent. It was really cool to watch the fish in the tanks while we were eating. Marnie, our waitress, was so friendly and hospitable.
