Fir Tree - Réservation de table

It's a real disappointment. After enjoying drinks in the Fir Vault for over 45 years, even hosting our wedding reception there, our experience last night was frustrating. After waiting 15 minutes for a drink, we were told we couldn't be served because the room needed attention first. The landlady then informed us there were 200 people in the room and no glasses available. I was one very unhappy customer. We have worked hard all our lives and choose to spend our money at the Fir Tree. Landlady, you might want to take a closer look—there were only about 70 people in the room. New people have recently taken the pub over and without doubt have improved the Fir Tree a lot. I found the pub to be very busy when I last called in on a Sunday although I did not have to wait long to be served. The landlady was very nice and the bar staff were friendly and efficient. I will definitely will be going again.

I drink in this pub on a regular basis and have no complaints about it whatsoever, The licensee and staff do a thoroughly brilliant job of keeping this excellent establishment motoring along and if it wasn’t for them the pub would not be in existence. Always worth a visit. Réservez une table maintenant

I love coming here; the service is great! However, I wouldn't recommend sending a message, as this is the response you receive. I wasn't complaining, just asking a question because I've never known this pub to run out of essentials.

Usually my local been going here for years but recently seems to be going down hill, takes 20 minuets to get a pint, loads of idiots going in doing drugs in the toilet, not as nice as it was 6 months ago

Gone downhill massively. Seems to be full of scrotes. Takes forever to get served in the vault. Been a few fights in the last few weeks. Was bang on 6 months or so ago. Changed hands again.

The place has been cleaned up, and the beer looks much nicer. The Guinness is fantastic, and the cider is lovely. There are also fewer children around now. Great stuff! Réservez une table maintenant

Best pub in reddish , world cup game's have been amazing! Party atmosphere and Fridays with Gaz have brought the pub alive again
