Spent in excess of £300 here today as a special family occasion. Ordered drinks and, due to a wobbly table, one drink toppled over and soaked one of our party (another received a small cut to his leg (wasn 't a problem) but the sarcastic manager came and said, do you want a bandage? . I ordered a meal that did not specify that it contained coconut, it came out and was, pretty much, a coconut soup. The chef responded that all our meals have coconut in (not according to the menu). The food was excellent as was the replacement meal. I visited the bar with my friend recently. The drinks and food were all fantastic, and I found the staff to be very helpful and provide excellent customer service. However, there were some behaviours from certain members that I found to be questionable. At a nearby table there were three staff members (they were either on a break, finished a shift or had came in out of hours for food) who were being extremely loud and distracting. They were standing close to people's tables and shouting across to each other (essentially over people's heads), and standing up to take photographs of each other in a way that blocked the main pathway through the bar. I really enjoyed my experience at Firefly. The atmosphere and staff were excellent, they had a wide variety of beers and ales to choose from, and the Thai food was delicious. The multiple screens for sports were a bonus! Keep in mind, it is more of a bar with food rather than a traditional restaurant, so if you prefer a quieter dining experience, this may not be the best choice for you. Overall, I highly recommend Firefly.
Unfortunately, we didn't eat at this restaurant because the bar opens at 12:30pm but the kitchen doesn't start serving food until 1:30pm. We had planned to have an early lunch, but we wanted to mention that the staff were very friendly and patient. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cute and had a relaxed vibe. I discovered a hidden gem near Balham tube and rail station. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, with friendly staff and reasonable prices. The selection of beers is impressive and the Thai food is delicious. They also have TVs for watching sports. Overall, a great find!
